Contact information
1. Who is who?
When you book a holiday home through us:
- Jysk Ferie (Jyskferie ApS) facilitates the rental on behalf of the owner.
- The owner owns the holiday home.
- You, as guests/tenant, rent the home through us.
This means that we handle the booking and communication, but the home is made available on behalf of the owner.
2. Your stay
Arrival and departure
- You can find your arrival time and key information in your booking.
- The holiday home will be ready on the day of arrival as stated.
- On the day of departure, the home must be vacated no later than 10:00.
3. Use of the holiday home
Purpose
The holiday home may be used for holiday stays.
If it is used for any other purpose, this will be regarded as a breach of the agreement.
Number of people
- The number of people staying in the home must not exceed the stated maximum.
- You are welcome to have visitors during your stay.
Pets
- Pets are only permitted if this is stated in the property description.
Smoking
- Indoor smoking is only permitted if this is stated in the property information.
Internet
- Wi-Fi is available in the home if stated in the property description.
- However, we cannot guarantee speed or stability.
Pool and spa
If the home has a pool, spa or similar facilities:
- Always follow the instructions provided in the home.
- Use is at your own risk.
4. Price and payment
Payment
- Prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) including VAT.
- Utilities such as electricity, water and heating are not included unless otherwise stated.
- Final cleaning is not included in the rental price unless this is expressly stated on your rental document. Final cleaning can be ordered by calling our office or sending us an email. We recommend ordering in good time and no later than a few days before departure.
Payment terms
If you book more than 60 days before arrival:
- 1st installment falls 7 days after the booking date
- Remaining payment no later than 60 days before arrival.
If you book less than 60 days before arrival
- The full amount is payable upon booking.
5. Cancellation and changes
We understand that plans can change – therefore, the following rules apply:

Cancellations must be made by email to: info@jyskferie.dk
In the case of ordinary cancellation, any insurance premium will not be refunded, as the insurance is taken out through a third party.
Changes
Changes are subject to a fee of DKK 360.
If you shorten your stay, change the rental period or transfer the booking to another name, the ordinary cancellation terms apply to the part affected by the change.
6. Consumption
- Consuption are settled on departure, or you will receive an invoice after your stay.
- You will receive a reading form when the keys are handed over.
- Please remember to take the readings before departure.
- If you depart directly from the home, for example from homes with a key box, simply leave the reading form on the kitchen table.
The meters are read on the morning of the arrival day in connection with the preparation of the home, during which we also turn on the heating before your arrival.
Consumption are settled based on the recorded readings.
Electric cars may only be charged if an approved charger has been installed.
7. Damage and liability
We expect the home to be treated properly – as if it were your own.
- You are liable for any damage that occurs during your stay.
- Damage must be reported to us as soon as possible.
If damage has not been reported:
- We will claim compensation.
8. If something is not as expected
If there are any problems:
1. Contact us by phone as soon as possible.
2. We will try to resolve the issue during your stay.
3. If you find the cleaning of the home on arrival to be inadequate, it is important that you call us immediately, before using the home, so that we can send cleaning staff and rectify the issue as quickly as possible.
9. Cleaning
On departure, even if final cleaning has been ordered, you must:
- Tidy up.
- Remove food from the fridge and freezer.
- Start the dishwasher.
- Empty the waste bins in the home.
- Clean the barbecue.
10. If the agreement is not complied with
In rare cases, it may be necessary to terminate the stay.
This may, for example, apply if:
- The home is used for purposes other than a holiday stay.
- More people are staying in the home than permitted.
- Grossly irresponsible or inconsiderate behaviour is shown towards the home, its contents or neighbours.
In such cases:
- The stay may be terminated immediately.
- No refund will be given for the remaining days.
11. Practical matters
- No deposit is charged.
- Consumption are paid on departure or by invoice after the end of the stay.
12. Other terms
The agreement is governed by Danish law.
Jyskferie is affiliated with the Danish Holiday Home Rental Complaints Board.
Disputes are settled under Danish law by the court in the judicial district where the holiday home is located.
Jyskferie also reserves the right either to refund the amount paid or to find an alternative rental property if the stay cannot be carried out as agreed, for example due to circumstances relating to the owner.
In the event of force majeure, including but not limited to war, strike, natural disasters, pandemic, epidemic, pollution or public restrictions, the stay may be cancelled without further liability for compensation.
Guest guide – useful information
Here we have gathered the most important things that many guests ask about.
What do we need to bring ourselves?
The holiday home is furnished with the necessary inventory, but you must bring everyday necessities yourself unless otherwise stated.
This includes, among other things:
- Bed linen and sheets
- Towels
- Tea towels and dishcloths
- Washing-up liquid and cleaning products
- Toilet paper and hygiene products, such as shampoo and soap
- Firewood for the wood-burning stove
- Charcoal for the barbecue
- Etc.
Linen package available
If you do not wish to bring your own linen, you can order a linen package from us.
A linen package includes:
- Sheet
- Duvet cover and pillowcase
- One large towel
- One small towel
Please contact us in advance if you wish to order – either by phone or by email.
On arrival
- Follow the information in your booking.
- The home will have been prepared for you.
- Let us know quickly if anything is not as expected.
- For homes with a key box, we ask you to respect that the check-in time is 4.00 PM and not to arrive earlier unless this has been agreed with our office.
During your stay
If something breaks or does not work:
- Contact us – we will help you.
Internet:
- Wi-Fi is available in most homes, but quality may vary.
Utilities:
- You pay for your consumption based on the meter readings.
On departure
Before you leave:
- Read the consumption meters.
- Tidy up.
- Clean the home if final cleaning has not been ordered.
