Before your holidayHow do I book a holiday home with Jysk Ferie?You can easily book directly on our website. Once you have completed your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details about your holiday. How does payment work?We offer two different payment options:
If there are less than 60 days until your stay, the full amount must be paid immediately. Can I transfer my booking to someone else?If you wish to change the name on a reservation, you are allowed to do so for an administrative fee of DKK 360. What is the cancellation policy?
Can I bring pets to the holiday home?Many of our homes are pet-friendly. You can see in the house description whether pets are allowed. What can I expect to find in the house — and what should I bring myself?You must bring the items you need during your stay, such as:
Do we need to bring our own high chair and cot?Under the facilities listed for each house, you can see whether a high chair and a crib are available. If these are not provided, you are welcome to contact Jysk Ferie, who can make them available by arrangement. During your stayWhat are the check-in and check-out times?
Where do we collect the key?Key collection is done either via a key box or at one of our offices listed below.
What should we do if damage occurs during our stay?If you cause any damage during your stay, you are obliged to contact Jysk Ferie as soon as possible. Whether a claim for compensation will be made depends on your choice of insurance. If Jysk Ferie discovers damage after you have left the rental, a claim for compensation may be made. See more in our rental terms and conditions. Remember, it is possible to purchase the full insurance package from Codan when booking. This way, you are, among other things, covered if any damage occurs during your stay. Can I reach Jysk Ferie outside office hours?If any problems, defects or issues should unexpectedly arise in the holiday home during your stay, we kindly ask you to contact us as soon as possible. You can reach us during office opening hours or visit us personally at the office. Outside office opening hours, you can call our emergency phone in case of urgent problems that cannot wait until the next opening hours. We are ready to help if something requires immediate attention. Emergency phone: +45 78 79 77 76 Is final cleaning included?Final cleaning may be included or can be purchased when booking. This will be indicated in your booking confirmation. Whether or not final cleaning is included, the holiday home must be left tidy: the dishwasher should be emptied, trash removed, and the grill cleaned if a grill is provided. Details about cleaning requirements can be found in your rental agreement. If insufficient cleaning or damage is discovered, an additional fee may be charged. How does departure work during office opening hours?On the day of departure, the key must be returned no later than 10:00 AM. The key must be returned to the same place where it was collected – either in a key box or at one of our destination offices. Before leaving, please read the electricity, water and heating meters and note the final readings on the consumption form you received upon arrival. How does departure work outside of office opening hours?If you need to depart outside office hours, you must arrange this with us in advance. We offer the option to leave the key and consumption form in a key box, after which we will settle the utility usage and send you a statement. I forgot something in the holiday home – what do I do?Please remember to check the holiday home carefully before departure, as personal belongings are easily forgotten. If you leave something behind, we will gladly help search for it and send it back to you. Forgotten items can be shipped by parcel post against payment of the shipping costs. To start the sauna, turn the dial to the right (between 0–3) depending on how long you want the sauna to run. The numbers indicate the number of hours. Thermostat

Does the waste need to be sorted?Waste must be sorted according to local municipal guidelines and disposed of in the designated bins or waste containers at the holiday home. Failure to sort waste correctly may result in an additional fee. Practical questionsIs there Wi-Fi in the holiday home?Most homes offer free Wi-Fi. Check the specific house listing to see if internet is included. Do we need to bring bed linen and towels?Yes, you need to bring your own bed linen, towels, tea towels, and dishcloths. In some cases, you can add a linen package when booking – see available options online. Can we charge an electric car at the holiday home?Some holiday homes have charging stations for electric and hybrid cars. Please check the house facilities in the property description or contact us if you are unsure. Charging via standard power outlets or other non-approved installations is not permitted due to the risk of fire. If the holiday home does not have a charging station, we refer you to public charging stations in the area. Feel free to contact us if you would like information about the nearest charging points. How is utility usage settled?At Jysk Ferie, you do not pay a deposit, and your electricity, water, and heating consumption is settled either at departure or via an invoice by email, depending on where you collected your key:
Call or write to us if you would like more information about the average consumption costs for your desired holiday home. What rules apply regarding noise during the stay?Please show consideration for neighbours and the surrounding area during your stay. Loud music, parties and other disruptive noise are not permitted and may result in complaints. Holidays should be an enjoyable experience for everyone in the area. At the same time, noise from the surroundings may occur, for example from construction sites, restaurants, bars, traffic, motorboats, aircraft or military exercises. Construction work is permitted in holiday areas between 6 AM and 10 PM. Jysk Ferie will try to inform guests about known construction projects whenever possible, but we have no influence over noise from the surrounding area. Is smoking allowed?Smoking is not allowed indoors in any of our holiday homes. Outdoor smoking is permitted, provided it is done respectfully and cigarette butts are disposed of properly. Is a grill available at the holiday home?Many holiday homes offer a barbecue – either charcoal or gas. The barbecue must always be thoroughly cleaned after use. A cleaning fee will be charged if it is returned dirty. Does the holiday home have outdoor furniture?All holiday homes are equipped with outdoor furniture for your use. During the peak season, the furniture may experience extra wear, so we recommend protecting it from rain and storing it under cover after use. Are there bicycles at the holiday home?Some holiday homes have bicycles available, but we cannot guarantee their condition. If you wish to use bikes during your stay, we recommend bringing your own or renting from a local bike rental service. Can I have mail delivered to the holiday home?It is not possible to have mail delivered directly to the holiday home. If you need to receive packages during your stay, please contact us – we may be able to assist through our office, depending on the delivery service. What should we do in case of storm or power outage?During storms or power outages, temporary disruptions may occur. If you experience any problems, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you as quickly as possible. What should we do to avoid theft?We recommend locking the house and windows whenever you leave the property – even for short trips. Jysk Ferie cannot be held responsible for the theft of personal belongings. What is the water quality like in the holiday home?The water in the area is clean and safe to drink but may have a high lime content. We recommend flushing the shower briefly if it hasn’t been used for a while. |
