Jysk Ferie and Codan Forsikring offer two types of insurance for the rental of a holiday home. Both insurances guarantee reimbursement of the rent in the event of serious illness or accident.

Travel cancellation insurance

With travel cancellation insurance, you are covered* if you have to cancel your holiday due to:

  • Serious illness or injury - to yourself, a fellow traveller or your dog.
  • Acute exacerbation of an existing illness or allergic reaction to a vaccine.
  • Pregnancy or death in the immediate family.
  • Serious events at home or changes at work - e.g. fire, burglary, unexpected redundancy or new job.

Holiday home landlord insurance/full insurance package

This insurance includes all the benefits of cancellation insurance and also covers you during your stay:

  • Interruption of holiday: If you have to return home early due to illness, for example, you will be reimbursed for the unused holiday days.*
  • Household Contents Liability: Covers damage you accidentally cause to the contents of your holiday home - e.g. windows, sinks and worktops (up to DKK 8,000 and with an excess of DKK 500 per claim).*

Cancellation until arrival

Unforeseen things can happen* - and if you need to change your plans, you can cancel your stay right up until arrival.

Interrupt your stay with peace of mind

If something unexpected* happens that requires you to leave early, you are still covered by the holiday home insurance.

In the event of an accident

Small accidents can happen to anyone - and should damage occur to your property during your stay, holiday home landlord insurance covers most cases.
